Lately, I’ve been in the “Spring Cleaning” kind of mood and ask myself what can I do to make our house more organized?
I’ve teamed up with Brother to create some fun-organizational ideas within my home using their P-touch label maker. Brother has not only shared one label maker with myself but has offered to giveaway one label maker here on my blog!
Time to purge, clean out those cupboards and get organized with a Brother P-Touch!
What you’ll need for all projects:
- Brother P-Touch Label Maker
- Something to clean the surface of each item. I used baby wipes, but a clean rag will work.
Spice Rack Organization
I’ve been wanting to organize the spice jars and rack for a few years now.
How I did it was pretty simple and can be done for all projects: I started by wiping down the jars/rack to allow the label to adhere well. While waiting for the items to dry, I chose the white tape and the label style on the label maker. There are so many different options to choose from, (boarders, icons, font style and size, tape and font color, to name a few) allowing you to completely customize each label. I’m in LOVE with this machine!
After typing and printing my individual labels, I cut each piece to size and placed the labels on each jar/rack to complete my project. Ta dah! Don’t they look so pretty?
Organize Your Pantry
One of my main pantry problems is trying to figure out the difference between baking goods, they can look similar?! An other problem is that I buy a lot of goods in bulk and end up with random bags with bits within or multiple bags of the same item.
Labeling the container can solve that! Pretty impressed, I sure am and hopefully I won’t be ruining any recipes anytime soon!
Label Your Essential Oil Bottles
I’ve recently gotten involved with essential oils and have accumulated many different oil bottles and some of which are the same oil or blend. Unfortunately, I’m constantly rifling through the container trying to find what I need in frustration.
Since labeling the top of the oil bottles has set me at a peace and calm state. Namaste!
Create a Children’s Keepsake Box
My children are still very young, but we’ve recently started accumulating a lot of keepsake items like birth announcements, cards, art projects and more. These keepsakes were everywhere and this was becoming a pet peeve of mine. I had to come up with a quick and easy solution.
So I created a Children’s Keepsake Box by using my wonderful label maker, a 19 pocket-expandable folder (one pocket for each year) and scissors. I chose two different tape colors and expandable boxes for our children.
The results turned out pretty cool! This might even be a future gift idea for family and friends.
What would you do with a label maker like mine? Briefly describe how you would creatively use this label maker in the form below for a chance to win!!
